The SWP in Political Science and International Relations is an undergraduate course which assists students in evaluating social work option in their social life world and developing their interest in social responsibility projects. Throughout the SWP students will select an association/ institution where they conduct social work. At the end of the semester students are expected to present their experience in a Student Workshop (presumably organized by MURCIR).
Grading : Pass and Fail
This course has 1 credit. No class participation. In order to pass this course students will download the following form at the end of the document provided by the University officials :http://dosya.marmara.edu.tr/fef/2019/topluma%20hizmet/THU_Y_nerge.pdf

What is social work?
“Social work is a profession concerned with helping individuals, families, groups and communities to enhance their individual and collective well-being. It aims to help people develop their skills and their ability to use their resources and those of the community to resolve problems.”
The objective of the course is to train students that contribute to the improvement of social justice and human health, demonstrate the power of social institutions and policies, and are equipped with contemporary and universal knowledge, with the ultimate aim of ensuring sustainable human and social development.
